Lounging after in the tea/bedded area was like something out of a movie… My husband and I booked in for massages and made use of the thermal pools. Also, with preferred it was great to take a break from the hot mid-day sun and taste some of the premium tequilas. Drinks were amazing, Jesus (Hey-sus) at the Barracuda bar introduced us to mini beers. Himitsu, Bordeaux and Portofino were our favourites for dinner, but everywhere is excellent.ĭrinks –. Lunch – poolside pizza, bbq and tacos = a must. Breakfast buffet was fantastic followed by coffee in the coco café. Unfortunately, we could not make it to the karaoke on our last night (Jessica – next time I will sing Adele lol) but had heard from other residents attending the previous session it was great fun!!!įood – excellent is an understatement. We enjoyed the fire show, art night, Mexican night and Superbowl party during the stay. Tablet in room updates schedule with rain/no-rain day activities. Party pools, quiet pools, books, suncream and access to towels was great.Įntertainment – daily/evening entertainment. We checked out parrot fish and many nurseries (rumour has it there are even small barracuda here too). We actually decided to visit the mangrove a few days later. Very safe and led by two excellent employees from the entertainment team. We also participated in guacamole making classes, a cocktail competition (which I won – great fun) and cycle tour to the local mangrove, amazing cycle with a stop at half moon bay.
Throughout our stay we went snorkeling and spotted turtles in the ocean directly in front of the resort, we were able to use the lifejackets provided which meant we could spend a lot longer in the water. We opted for preferred and would highly recommend it.Īmenities – we were spoiled for choice. My Husband and I went to Secrets Akumal in February 2023 for our Honeymoon.
